Living with technology

Framing is a way of storing information into memory, and to be able at a later time able to recall that information later. When that information is retrieved, that data are usually in bits and pieces. To describe how memory works, let me explain, it’s like a set of codes that can be recalled and connect to other related information already stored in the brain. These codes can be put together with new memory. Usually if you are driving or walking and maybe just listening to the radio or watching television. Often we see or hear something and you instantly remind you of something else in your own life that is how framing works. Framing and framework are a tool that gives us the tools to organize and experiences into pictures and writings.
Paradigms are a way we see life and other experiences and beliefs. One such is the concept of organized religions. Where a group of people of diverse economic and racial backgrounds comes together in the belief in one way of living and that is according to the bible. In the history of the Roman Catholicism, no one has ever challenged the validity of the bible. If anyone was to ever disagree with or challenge the bible that person would be set away by everyone that he or she loves. Most people that grew up in the certain religious faith follow the leader of that church blindly without challenge. I’ve conducted an experiment, where I asked strict religious people; “why did you choose your particular faith”? Majority of these people did not know why and the only answer I would get would be “ I grew up that way, or my parents raised me that way.” None have ever evaluate their belief and make the choice to change or stay in that religion.
Every day of our lives we are advancing technologically. Look around the room or classroom and compare the technology of last ten or even five years ago and see the just how fast we are advancing. We’ve all heard the saying “ The only constant in life is change”. Technology is a great thing, but in today’s society we are depending more and more on our gadgets, we cannot go one hour without our cellphones. That is also one of the reason a lot of grown up and children are obese. If we as a society would use technology sparingly not only will that help us physically also would be great for the environment.
